5/16/17 - Band completes annual Spring Tour through MI, OH, and PA.

2017 Domestic Concert Tour
In May 2017, the Notre Dame Concert Band embarked on its annual concert tour across several states in the Midwest. The first stop was Vicksburg High School, where band members performed alongside members of the VHS Wind Ensemble after their own set. The next day, the band traveled to Upper St. Clair High School in Pittsburgh, PA, a frequent stop for the ND Band program. ND Band members held clinics for middle and high school students, and the evening culminated with a large joint effort with more than 170 musicians on stage.
Sunday's concert was one filled with emotion, taking place at Holy Cross Parish in Erie, PA. The performance was held in memory of band alum Mark Kulyk, who passed away in Fall 2016 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. His loving wife, Joyce, was made an honorary band member in an afternoon not soon to be forgotten.
After a brief trek west through Ohio, the band arrived at the Cleveland School of the Arts, and performed for an energetic audience of students enrolled in band, orchestral, and choral ensembles. That evening, the band played to a capacity audience at the 1-year-old Strongsville Middle School.
A huge thanks to the individuals and ND Clubs that helped make the 2017 Concert Tour a success!
