6/29/17 - 2017 Summer Band

Hundreds of locals came out to a concert by the University of Notre Dame Summer Band earlier this evening, taking in the beautiful Irish Green while listening to the hard work of more than 100 Michiana-area musicians. From the Theme from Captain America to a Salute to the Armed Forces, audience members were treated to a diverse set list of music. Local radio legend John "JT" Thompson served as the emcee for the concert, with an especially powerful rendition of the band's traditional pre-game playing of America The Beautiful.
