11/18/18 - Band travels to New York City for 2018 Shamrock Series contest

The Band of the Fighting Irish accompanied the 10-0 Notre Dame Football Team to New York City for the 2018 Shamrock Series, the university's semi-annual "neutral site home game." This year's game was played in Yankee Stadium against the #12 Syracuse Orange, and resulted in a 36-3 Irish win. En route to the city, the 9 coach buses carrying the band stopped at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA to allow sophomore students to register for classes.

Upon its arrival, the band performed a concert for hundreds of fans and spectators at Bryant Park, with smaller groups leaving to perform at the iconic Rainbow Room (nested in Rockefeller Plaza) and an alumni event at the Public House. The next day, approximately 100 band members boarded the D train from Manhattan to the Bronx, where they met the rest of the band in preparation for the game. 4 quarters later, the Fighting Irish emerged undefeated heading into their season finale against perennial rival Southern California.
