Danny Martin
Head Drum Major
I am an International Economics major and Theology minor from Northbrook, Illinois, in the north suburbs of Chicago. In addition to being a member of our outstanding trumpet section, I participate in our concert bands as well as the basketball band. I have the opportunity to serve as co-service commissioner for the Band of the Fighting Irish and work in the band building as a FUIC (Friendly Uniform and Instrument Custodian). Outside of band, I play in Notre Dame’s Symphonic Orchestra, and will be returning for my second summer as a Mentor in the Notre Dame Vision Program. It is a huge honor to serve our Band family as Drum Major, and I cannot wait to march with them come next season!

Rose Bernier
Assistant Drum Major
My name is Rose Bernier, and I am a proud member of the piccolo section in the Band of the Fighting Irish. I am very excited to serve as an Assistant Drum Major next season! I am a chemical engineering major from Endwell, New York, and I currently live in Lewis Hall here on campus. Other than marching band, I have participated in University Band, Symphonic Band, Varsity Band, and Flute Choir, and I have played on various band sports teams. Outside of band, I am a member of the Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society, and I tutor First Year Students in Calculus. I am honored to have the opportunity to take part in leading the Notre Dame Band, and I look forward to the upcoming season!

Alex Schutte
Assistant Drum Major
Hello! My name is Alex Schutte and I am a Pre-Med Biology and Japanese double major as well a member of the Glynn Family Honors Program. I am from Black Jack, Missouri, which is a small suburb north of St. Louis, and reside in Dillon Hall at Notre Dame. I am a member of the saxophone section and play in concert band, basketball and hockey bands, saxophone choir, and a saxophone sextet. I also serve as a mentor in the Bandlink program, which is a music outreach program that helps provide a band program for middle school students at Holy Cross, Christ the King, and Corpus Christi. I also like to play soccer in my spare time, and play on Dillon Hall’s Interhall team. I feel honored to have received this opportunity to serve the band as a drum major and am very excited to see what this next season has in store! Go Irish!
