5/2/17 - Band welcomes legendary trumpeter Arturo Sandoval back to campus!

The University of Notre Dame Band is pleased to welcome back world-renowned trumpeter Arturo Sandoval to campus! Mr. Sandoval was awarded an Honorary Doctorate at the 2016 Commencement Excercises at Notre Dame in recognition of his numerous contributions to the arts and music specifically. Mr. Sandoval is the recipient of 10 Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, 6 Billboard Awards, and the 2013 Presidential Medal of Freedom. 

Mr. Sandoval returns to campus to work with the Symphonic Winds, Jazz Bands, and New Orleans Brass Band, and will perform at the Jazz Bands concert on Tuesday, 5/1.
