9/11/17 - September 11 Memorial Service

On Monday, September 11, 2017 at 8:46pm, members of the Notre Dame communtiy gathered on the campus' south quad to pay their respects to the lives lost in the events of 9/11. Hundreds of students, faculty, staff, and community members stood in silence as the band performed The Star Spangled Bannger, followed by the playing of Taps by sophomore trumpet section member Sean Kelly. The crowd then processed silently to the Grotto, where the band's performance of the Alma Mater ended a solemn evening of reflection and prayer.
