10/5/19 - Band performs with rock band Chicago at halftime of Bowling Green game

On Saturday, October 5, 2019, the rock band Chicago returned to their "home under the Dome" to perform a joint halftime with the Band of the Fighting Irish. The relationship between the two groups spans several decades, with former Notre Dame Band Director Fr. George Wiskirchen, C.S.C., mentoring Chicago's members in their early years. In addition to their performance of "Feeling Stronger Every Day" and "Saturday in the Park" at halftime, the band also performed their well-known hit "25 or 6 to 4" at the ND Band's pre-game Concert on the Steps. In 2016, Chicago was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and has sold more than 100 million records, with 23 Gold, 18 Platinum, and 8 Multi-Platinum records.
