The University of Notre Dame Jazz Bands will perform at The Jazz Showcase in Chicago on Saturday, April 8 at 3:00 p.m.
This is an historic first for Notre Dame — the first time ND Jazz Bands will perform at the oldest and most prestigious of all the current jazz clubs in Chicago, a venue which has featured jazz stars such as Count Basie and Dizzy Gillespie.
Admission is only $10 for adults, $5 for students, and $25 for special VIP seating.

The Jazz Showcase is located at 806 S. Plymouth Court, Chicago, IL 60605, just a block southwest of State and Polk.
Performing will be two magnificent jazz bands:
• Notre Dame’s Jazz Band 1, performing the music of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Buddy Rich, Ella Fitzgerald, Thelonious Monk, Natalie Cole, and contemporary group Radiohead.
• Notre Dame’s New Orleans Brass Band, performing traditional New Orleans songs like “Just a Closer Walk” and contemporary songs by Trombone Shorty and by the Youngblood Brass Band.
Both groups will have you tapping your feet and clapping along.
